Municipal Enforcement Officers perform duties related to the enforcement of Municipal Bylaws as a Bylaw Enforcement Officer, along with applicable Provincial Statutes authorized under their Community Peace Officer appointment.
Responsibilities include conducting investigations, gathering and securing evidence, seizing property where authorized, and managing exhibits in accordance with investigative and court procedures. Officers are responsible for completing required follow‑up and enforcement actions through to the conclusion of each file.
Municipal Enforcement Officers also participate in crime prevention, public education, and community awareness initiatives within public spaces throughout the City of Red Deer.
