An Northern QLD hospital requires a Registered Nurse/RN in Accident & Emergency from: to – – About our Emergency Department The Mackay Base Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is a Level 4 clinical service capability, with both adult and paediatric clients presenting for care and treatment. Our ED includes the following: 2 Resuscitation/Trauma bays, 3 High Dependency (HDU) bays, 12 acute bed spaces, 5 Paediatric bays, 12 Fast track, 16 short stay beds, 2 Mental health and 1 isolation HDU bay and see on average over 150 patients per day. Mandatory Experience • Minimum 3 years Emergency Department experience Desirable Experience • Knowledge of ieMR and proficiency in using this system • Previous experience working in Australia, QLD Health and/or Mackay HHS Mandatory Competencies • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certificate • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate • Manual and patient handling • Infection control including hand hygiene • Mandatory reporting by of reasonable suspicion...
