Summary This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Medical Center, in Leavenworth, Kansas. The primary purpose of this position is to transport patients and their caregivers, as well as linens, equipment, and/or other related items throughout the medical center. Applicants to this position must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license with clean driving record. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate a variety of vehicles (gas, diesel, and/or electric) with varying number of axles, weights, and control systems. Transport patients, their caregivers, and associated medical support equipment throughout the medical campus. Perform appropriate load distribution and securing of loads when maneuvering large vehicles in confined areas that are congested with other vehicles and/or pedestrian traffic.
