Summary The Motor Vehicle Operator is a vital member of the Transportation Section within Facilities Engineering Service. The incumbent safely transports patients, caregivers, employees, supplies, medications, and personal belongings between Coatesville VA Medical Center campuses and destinations throughout the tri-state area. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the position supports efficient operations and quality service for Veterans. Responsibilities The Motor Vehicle Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a variety of passenger, commercial, snow removal, and grounds maintenance vehicles and equipment. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Operates gasoline, diesel or electric powered vehicles with gross vehicle weight of up to and including 26,000 lbs safely in narrow and congested locations such as parking lots, interstates, and metropolitan areas in various types of weather.
