PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The MaMa (Masustansyang Pagbubuntis, Masiglang Kamusmusan) project is a flagship initiative by the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). A 36-month program, it targets child malnutrition and stunting by supporting mothers during the crucial first 1,000 days of their child's life—from conception through the first two years.

PBSP is implementing the three-year project “Improving mother-child health and nutrition in

Eastern Samar” co-funded by Karl Kübel Stiftung für Kind und Familie and the German Ministry

for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project will cater to 200 pregnant individuals, 800 individuals in their reproductive years, as well as 200 children (0–24 months) in their first 1,000 days of life in Arteche, East Samar. The specific objective...
