BDS have an exciting opportunity for a mobile responder to form part of a response service in the North East.

The post holder will work from home and respond to emergency call outs and welfare checks to older adults in sheltered housing schemes. The service supports clients who have had telecare equipment installed. Responders will respond to calls that have been screened and triaged by a call centre and an operator feels a physical check is required. A company handset is provided and on receipt of a call out the Responder will travel to the client and check what support is needed to make them safe and well. Duties and responsibilities will include:

* Assess the situation upon arrival and co-ordinate an appropriate response/escalation procedure which may result in summoning further assistance or providing support to the customer

* Respond to all emergency call outs within 45 minutes
