Underthe supervision of the Donor Recruitment Supervisor, the employee operatespassenger coach vehicles, Blood Donor Van and Blood Mobile in accordance withan assignment schedule . Responsible for the overall maintenances,permitting and licensing of vehicle. Inspects, maintains, and operates vehiclesas mandated by Partners Healthcare System policies, and applicable federal, state,and local laws.Organizes and reviews directions to ensure efficiency and accuracy. AssistsBlood Donor Collection staff in the care of donors before, during and after WB collection. Performspost-collection handling of whole blood units, packaging and placing packs incooler for transport. Assists the Charge RN with adverse donorreactions, both on the bus and insidethe sponsor’s work site.Calls EmergencyMedical Services when necessary.Ensuressafety of donors and staff during bus drives.
