Responsible for assembling products using hand-held welding and flame-cutting equipment to join metal components following assembly instructions and procedures.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and part lists
+ Positions parts and assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
+ Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
+ Corrects welds by chipping and grinding
+ Conduct self inspections
+ Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions
+ Preventative maintenance on machinery
