Who we are looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join the State Street Middleware Application Infrastructure Team. Our team manages and supports a wide range of Web and Application server technologies including WebSphere, JBoss, IIS, and other middleware platforms (MFT, Kafka, MQ, Autosys, etc) across the Bank.

This role focuses on building Python and UNIX shell–based automation , enabling self‑service capabilities , and improving platform and infrastructure operations through automation‑first solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong operational mindset, hands‑on scripting expertise, and a passion for reducing manual effort, improving reliability, and driving continuous improvement. Exposure to AI‑assisted development or intelligent automation is a strong plus.
