Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Process and review bookkeeping records for clients
- Perform reconciliations including bank, debtors, creditors, and VAT
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
- Assist with management accounts and financial reporting
- Liaise with clients regarding accounting and tax queries
- Ensure compliance with SARS and CIPC requirements
- Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate and organised client records
- Support senior accountants and managers with ad hoc tasks
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2+ yearsβ experience within an accounting firm
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
- Experience working with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel, or similar
