One of largest semiconductor client's MicroOptics site is looking for a Metrology Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The Optical Systems Division designs and produces precision lenses and optical components for data center, lithography, and metrology applications. As a Metrology Engineer, this person will play a highly hands‑on role characterizing new optical designs in both form and function within a cleanroom semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves building custom optical breadboards, test fixtures, and data acquisition systems to qualify new equipment, components, and processes. This individual will work closely with equipment manufacturers, vendors, R&D, operations, and industry experts to develop and qualify new metrology capabilities and ensure site readiness and urgency in a small‑site setting.
