Summary The Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking an Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) for the Therapeutic and Diagnostic Imaging Service. The AMSA performs complex scheduling, order-management, Veteran communication, and front-line administrative functions for all Radiology modalities including Diagnostic X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Oncology services at the Dayton VAMC and four affiliated CBOCs. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Performs complex scheduling functions for all imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic X-ray, Bone Density and Radiation Oncology. Answers and initiates telephone calls to address the needs of Veterans. Schedules appointments, interpret, and verify provider orders in accordance with VHA national scheduling guidelines.
