ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Β· Maintains orientation program, which is current with the standards of clinical practice in the Medical Group setting and implements it for all new staff.
Β· Acts as a liaison between new staff, current employees and the Director
Β· Develops and coordinates educational activities of the department including continuing education of staff members and orientation of staff to new equipment/procedures.
Β· Acts as resource person in such areas as policies and procedures, standards and other clinical topics, regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, OSHA) and suggests updates to policies and procedures as needed.
Β· Acts as professional role model and assists staff (especially preceptors) in professional development.
Β· Supports and participates in departmental Performance Improvement projects.
