Medical Assistant – Outpatient ClinicJob Summary
The Medical Assistant supports providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties. This role plays a key part in ensuring a smooth patient flow, maintaining accurate records, and creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

+ Room patients and prepare them for examinations; notify provider when ready

+ Obtain and document vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, etc.) and chief complaints

+ Verify and update patient information including medications, allergies, and contact details

+ Ensure patient charts are complete with lab results and diagnostic information prior to appointments

+ Assist with prescription refill requests per provider direction

+ Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms

+ Update and manage electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
