The Medical Assistant supports providers in a busy primary care clinic by performing a blend of clinical, administrative, and clerical duties to help deliver an excellent level of patient care. This role helps patients feel comfortable, clearly explains provider instructions, and ensures that each visit runs smoothly from check-in through follow-up. The Medical Assistant works closely 1:1 with a physician or other licensed provider and as part of a collaborative care team, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role.
Responsibilities

+ Escort patients to exam rooms and notify the provider when the patient is ready to be seen.

+ Ensure all laboratory and diagnostic test results are available and filed in the chart prior to the patient’s appointment.
