Responsibilities

+ Perform laboratory testing procedures and report results to healthcare clinicians.

+ Alert healthcare clinicians of any critical or out-of-range values and document critical reports.

+ Conduct phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

+ Prepare specimens for reference lab send-outs, including labeling, resulting, and billing information.

+ Perform and document daily/weekly/monthly quality control, including instrument maintenance.
