Position Overview
Designs, validates, and optimizes plastic injection or blow molds, tooling, and manufacturing processes. They utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for design, conduct mold flow simulations (e.g., Moldex3D), and troubleshoot production issues to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of molded components.
Mold Design & Development: Create detailed 3D models and 2D CAD drawings for tooling, including cooling lines, sliders, and ejector systems.
Process Optimization: Develop, document, and improve molding processes using scientific molding principles to ensure consistent quality.
Simulation & Testing: Perform mold flow simulation and analysis to identify potential defects like warpage, air traps, or weld lines before manufacturing.
Troubleshooting & Validation: Perform tool debugging, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and root cause analysis for manufacturing issues.
