We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineers to work with a small team contributing to project specific design / product configuration work following a welcome influx of customer contracts. This includes assembly & detail component design, generation of BOMs and design substantiation (eg calculations etc) and working with cross‑functional teams to meet customer requirements & timescales.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertakes design of assemblies, sub-assemblies and components using Solidworks 3D CAD systems.
• Ensures designs are robust by using techniques such as FMEA / design review / DFM & DFS.
• Drive repeatability and standardisation into custom stores projects by utilising equipment and sub‑systems that are already developed and proven.
• Translates requirements for sub‑systems into design solutions (based specifications from customer / lead engineer or line manager).
