Automotive Mechanic

Job Description

This role focuses on test driving vehicles and accurately diagnosing mechanical and performance issues using both road testing and computerized diagnostic tools. You will evaluate a high volume of vehicles each day, identify concerns quickly and precisely, and perform light-duty repairs such as adjusting fluid levels and addressing basic brake issues.

Responsibilities

• Test drive vehicles to identify and confirm mechanical, performance, and drivability issues.
• Hook vehicles up to computerized diagnostic equipment to run diagnostics and scan fault codes.
• Assess approximately 10–20 vehicles per day, providing clear and accurate findings for each vehicle.
• Spend the majority of each day (about 90%) performing test drives and diagnostic evaluations.
