Mayoral Events Co-ordinator

We are looking for somebody to join the Council as a Mayoral Event Co-ordinator. 

The Mayor is the first citizen of the borough and its Civic Head. The Mayor is responsible, in a non-political way, for furthering the interests of the borough where an appropriate occasion arises. This may include engagements such as formal dinners, official openings of events or new facilities, talking to clubs and societies and visiting schools. The Mayor also hosts visits to the Mayor's Parlour from various organisations and is always happy to receive a request for a visit.

Reporting to the Democratic and Electoral Services Manager, the role supports the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in organising their engagements day-to-day, some charity events and supporting the coordination of the major Civic Events such as Remembrance Sunday, Armistice Day,...
