Job Overview

The Maternity Support Worker will provide care to women, birthing people and families throughout the antenatal and postnatal period in the Antenatal Clinic Outpatients unit at the Darlington or Durham site. The role includes support for the midwifery team, education, safety, infant feeding support and public health promotion.

Responsibilities

• Support care of women and birthing people during antenatal and postnatal periods.
• Assist the midwifery team with patient education, support and clinical care.
• Carry out routine clinical observations, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, and report deviations.
