The Opportunity
This role is focused on delivering culturally safe and high-quality maternity and women’s health services to Yolngu women across remote communities in East Arnhem Land. Working as a Remote Area Nurse/Midwife, the position involves providing antenatal, postnatal, newborn, and women’s health care in partnership with Aboriginal health workers, while travelling regularly to outreach communities. The role also includes clinical leadership, staff education, health promotion, community engagement, and supporting the development of models of care to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families.
This role is a full-time fixed-term position (6 months), from August 2026 to February 2027, within Primary Health Care, working as a Remote Area Nurse/Midwife.
