Job Summary

Loads, unloads and moves materials within or near plant, yard or work site. Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

Primary Responsibilities


+ Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
+ Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
+ Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers.
+ Pulls or receives parts and materials that are released per schedule requirements, checks number and type of items against work sheet, prepares and distributes.
