GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Material Handler position is responsible for efficiently handling materials coming from other departments and outside Suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Be proficient and knowledgeable about safely operating an electric pallet jack, stand-up reach truck, clamp truck and sit-down swing reach truck.
• Complete a daily safety/maintenance checklist on the material handling equipment at the beginning of each shift. Ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly.
• Safely operate all material handling equipment within the plant to prevent damage or personal injury.
• Unload inbound trucks, warehouse materials, supply production lines, and load outbound shipments.
• Utilize safety precautions and guidelines to ensure each trailer is safe to load/unload.
• Properly unitize and mark materials.
• Load various pallets to maximize trailer utilization while minimizing transit damage.
