**Description**



The staff Licensed Massage Therapist functions under the supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the department director. The Licensed Massage Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for providing direct patient/client massage therapy treatment as determined by the referring provider in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.



The Licensed Massage Therapist requires skills in patient/client evaluation, treatment, and observation to accurately address patients/clients need; provides patient/client and family teaching; and works cooperatively with other patient/client team personnel in maintaining standards for professional massage therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
