**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

Serves at the executive level, and is responsible for developing and implementing strategic objectives and goals, allocating and managing capital/human resources, and general day-to-day operational accountability for assigned areas. Overall accountability and responsibility for 1 quaternary care academic medical center, 8 acute care hospitals, and 2 free-standing Emergency Departments. Has direct line authority over facility presidents overseeing multiple hospitals within Houston, including an academic medical center in the Texas Medical Center. The position will be responsible for producing exceptionally high employee engagement.
