Job Overview: Work alongside a small team of machinists who perform and support all machining efforts for a wide variety of metals processed by a material testing laboratory. The core of this role is manual machining — our shop runs manual lathes and mills daily, and we need someone who is truly comfortable there. The ability to cross over and operate CNC equipment and saws as needed is a plus, but manual skill is what we're looking for first.

Responsibilities include:

• Independently set up and operate manual and CNC machinery
• Read and interpret work orders, work instructions, and technical drawings
• Change cutting tools and adjust feeds and speeds
• Perform daily preventative maintenance
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
