Under the direction and supervision of the Director Taxation, the Manager, Tax Reporting & Compliance is responsible for providing comprehensive internal tax services, preparing and/or reviewing Canadian corporate income tax returns and ensuring overall tax reporting and compliance requirements are met for Wawanesa and its broker subsidiaries.
Job Responsibilities
Monitors current developments in IFRS, technical journals, and tax legislation and recommends revisions to existing practices in order to ensure tax compliance reflects industry best practices.Prepares tax due diligence with respect to mergers and acquisitions and divestitures as needed. Carries out neccesary compliance with respect to Merger and Acquisition transactions.
