This position is responsible for coordinating, planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and goal-setting for the hospital-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program that is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation requirements to promote high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. The incumbent is accountable for the development of effective systems and processes for the prevention of hospital-associated infections, infection surveillance, infection identification, and communication to appropriate leaders of identified trends and opportunities. The incumbent must demonstrate a high level of problem-solving and expertise in an highly-specialized knowledge base, recommending corrective action and prevention measures.
