Responsibilities

Primary purpose: Manages maintenance programs and activities of designated BCRTC assets to support the highest level of safety, efficiency and reliability for the rail system.

Key Accountabilities: Provides area-specific input to overall maintenance strategic planning; develops operating plans and tactics to support achievement of department strategies; reviews and signs off on the annual maintenance plan (AMP) based on regulatory, manufacturing and BCRTC standards; develops departmental operating budgets and delivers approved budgets to ensure the AMP is cost effective, consistent, and well communicated to related stakeholders; participates in the 5‑year AMP planning forecast.
