This position works in direct patient care performing screening and diagnostic mammograms. Works under the direction of the Radiologist during breast biopsies, needle localizations and other interventional procedures related to the breast The Mammography Technologist reviews and evaluate images for quality diagnostic purposes. Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients.
This position works under the supervision of the Lead Technologist, Radiology Manager, and Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
Obtains patient history, prior images, reports, and any other supportive role information that is needed.
Performs/Critiques patient screening and diagnostic mammography examinations requested by patient and/or provider.
