Summary This Maintenance Mechanic Leader is located in the Facility and Maintenance services at the VA Providence Healthcare Systems in Providence, RI. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Responsibilities This position serves as a Work Leader for Maintenance and Operations in accomplishing trades and labor work at the VA Providence Healthcare Systems. Duties include but not limited to: Understands the heating systems, boilers, pipefitting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and painting. Leads fifteen employees to accomplish trades and labor work. Delegates work instructions from supervisors. Demonstrates proper work methods and starts work. Ensures plans are executed to complete blueprints, material and tools are available and stocked. Sets pace performing non-supervisory work of the same kind and level that is done.
