Fusion energy offers the potential for significant quantities of low‑carbon, inherently safe, abundantly fuelled baseline energy, supporting sustainable climate action and energy independence. While the technical challenge remains high, confidence is increasing, and the rewards of realising fusion are almost incalculable.
