Job Description

Machinist is responsible to operate and maintain machining tools for the fabrication, repair, and modification of terminal equipment components, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime in the container terminal. The role ensures precision machining and adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards within the workshop.

Machining & Fabrication Operations

• Operate lathes, grinders, and other machining tools to produce, repair, or modify parts for terminal equipment (QC, RTG, RS, ECH, ITVs).
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals for accurate fabrication.
• Select appropriate materials, tools, and machine settings for each task.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments.
