DESCRIPTION:


+ Manages a designated group of nursing employees on a nursing unit and delegates/supervises resident care.

+ Administers medications/treatments on the assigned unit


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Works closely with the Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor in all aspects of resident care to ensure continuity of resident care.

+ Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols

+ Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting changes to the RN or attending physician promptly

+ Perform skilled nursing tasks including wound care, catheter care, and tube feedings
