Job Description
Renders direct nursing care to assigned patients and carries out other nursing tasks and functions including technical/laboratory procedures. Assists the professional nurse in the provision of nursing care on the clinical unit

Job Responsibility

+ Assists the registered nurse in provision of nursing care.
+ Gives direct patient care as assigned by the professional nurse.
+ Administers medications and treatments according to policy.
+ Observes, records and reports patients vital signs, symptoms and general condition to appropriate staff member.
+ Prepares for and assists physicians and others with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
+ Assists in patients' teaching program.
+ Gathers data from patient/family which is used by Registered Nurse in making the initial assessment and developing a nursing care plan.
+ Recognizes emergencies and initiates action.
