Locum Consultant in Paediatrics & Neonates DMH

We are offering a fixed‑term Locum General Paediatric Consultant post at the Darlington Memorial Hospital (10PA), full time (equivalent to 40 hours per week). This is a traditional acute consultant role with regular on‑call duties (no middle‑grade responsibilities) to cover a period of maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

• Full contribution to the Paediatrician of the Week and Paediatrician of the Day duties (POW and POD) rota to support the paediatric in‑patient unit, paediatric assessment unit, special care baby unit and on‑call cover.


• Deliver care to patients with common paediatric illnesses by participating in the hot week schedule (currently 1 in 10).
