Main Duties of the Job

This is a full‑time post for a Consultant in Acute Medicine. Sub‑specialist skills and interests, and areas for development such as Clinical Leadership, Medical Education and Research, will be encouraged. You will work with other members of the acute medicine team at Alexandra General Hospital as part of a team of 7 WTE Consultant Acute Physicians to provide high‑quality, compassionate and holistic treatment for patients referred or self‑presented to our Trust in the following areas: The Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), the Acute Medical Assessment (AMA), the Acute Medical Unit (AMU), the Emergency Department and the Medical Short Stay Unit. Optional participation in the GIM rota is available for which additional remuneration is available.
