Responsibilities Performs the installation of locking and non-locking hardware consisting of and not limited to electronic hardware, panic devices, mortise locks, cylindrical locks, door closers, latch guards, and cam locks. Trade-related skills: re-key IC core and standard pin tumbler and wafer locks; master keying knowledge including creating a bitting array; able to impression wafer locks. Use computer skills to maintain and collect information for master key systems and fabrication of keys by code. Issue forms for employees for card shop making bar codes for facilities cards pertaining to Grainger purchases. Adhere to life-safety codes and campus policies while maintaining physical security on campus for all locking devices. Read blueprints and understand fundamentals of hardware and keying schedules.
