The Linux Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Linux server environments, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. The primary objectives of this role are to ensure the reliable operation of Linux infrastructure through proactive administration, vulnerability management, automation, and continuous improvement of system resilience.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent distributions).
- Perform routine OS patching, software updates, and system upgrades to keep environments secure and current.
- Identify, assess, and remediate system vulnerabilities in line with security policies and compliance requirements.
- Implement and manage backup strategies; perform recovery operations to meet defined RTO/RPO targets.
