Position Overview
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm life safety systems engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Working knowledge of IBC, IFC, NFPA 72 – Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, NFPA 101 – Life Safety Code, NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Experience designing or supporting fire alarm and detection systems, including VESDA or similar aspirating systems
- Understanding of construction documents, specifications, and coordination processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
