**Summary of Primary Function**

Provides patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Documents patient treatment and progress toward goals in the patient’s electronic health record. Implements established treatment programs and provides patient and family education.

**Essential Job Functions**

+ Administers physical therapy treatments and various modalities under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
+ Instructs, motivates and assists patients and their families in appropriate continued physical therapy programs as well as care of and use of adaptive equipment.
+ Observes and reports patients’ responses to treatment and progress and reports orally and/or in writing to the Physical Therapist.
+ Collaborates with Physical Therapist and other health team members to exchange and discuss patient
