Department Description

The Wits School of Clinical Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified health professionals, to assist in the training of undergraduate students as a clinical educator on the extended clinical training platform. This clinical educator will train medical students in clinical, procedural and communication-related knowledge and skills in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Specialist consultants, medical officers and other categories of staff who train students must balance service and training commitments. In a working partnership with these clinicians (employed as joint appointments), a clinical educator reinforces, reviews and expands on the experiential learning in the wards and outpatients departments available in the Orthopaedic Surgery Department settings.
