The job of an academic is challenging but meaningful. It requires knowledge and working experience, as well as a passion for working with youths, nurturing and moulding their characters. Opportunities include developing curriculum, introducing new courses and consulting on applied research projects. Administrative work related to teaching and strategic initiatives will also be part of the job.

The appointee must be competent to teach Mathematics at diploma and higher levels, and conduct training for adult learners. They should also be able to teach one of the following areas:

• Statistics
• Data Analytics
• Programming
• IT applications (e.g., Excel)

Additionally, the appointee will need to teach at least one of the following broad-based, foundational modules under the common core curriculum:
