The Writing Institute at Binghamton University invites applications for an up to three-year renewable, full-time lecturer position at a competitive salary to begin August 17, 2026. The teaching load for the position will be 3/3, with additional responsibilities that include leading weekly pedagogy group meetings to help mentor graduate instructors and adjuncts, conducting classroom observations, participating in our pre-fall orientation, preparing professional development workshops, and engaging in curriculum assessment and development.

Candidates should have experience teaching first-year writing courses focused on academic, argumentative writing and/or experience teaching professional writing courses.
