Lead UAV Engineer

Gravitilab Aerospace Services is based in Norwich and collaborates with launch partners in Scotland. We are a fast‑growing start‑up and industry pathfinder for microgravity testing services, driving the UK’s space science goals. With a patent‑pending UAV system, we seek an experienced UAV engineer to lead the next generation of UAV‑based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, simulation, and testing of the next‑iteration variants of the LOUIS UAV system, keeping the project on track and managing resources efficiently.
• Organise project technical and operational documentation; design, develop, and verify systems using our proprietary NSEF systems engineering framework.
• Ensure system failure mechanisms are understood and controlled, implementing fail‑safe techniques and redundancy to meet Product Assurance & Design Standards (e.g., ECSS, NTSS, RTCA).
