Responsibilities
- Leads and reports on reviews and tests of software systems and products to verify compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
- Works with software developers to resolve issues of noncompliance through system modification, reconfiguration or workarounds.
- Participates in planning and estimating quality assurance support requirements for new products, functions, and components.
- Participates in audits and reviews and monitors adherence to quality standards in the development, implementation and upkeep of software products.
- Monitors effectiveness of the assurance process and tools.
- Serves as an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operates as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.
- Coaches junior team members and may participate in interviews of new hires.
