Lead Engineer for River Restoration and Nature Schemes

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer for River Restoration and Nature Schemes to join our UK Water team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality project delivery and engineering for nature schemes, working with a multidisciplinary team to manage all stages of planning, modelling, designing and supervising construction of nature recovery, rewilding and river restoration projects.

Responsibilities

• Environmental engineering for nature recovery, restoration, rewilding, geomorphology and hydromorphology schemes.
• River and wetland restoration.
• River and watercourse engineering, detailed design and compliance with CDM regulations.
• Preparation of designs, design safety, work schedules and contractor specifications.
• Supervision of contractors and construction works.
• Project management across all project stages.
