Summary The Laundry Worker loads and unloads linen carts accurately and efficiently, utilizing linen that has been in storage the longest. The Laundry Worker exercises caution in moving up to 1000 lb carts around corners, through narrow hallways and congested patient areas, up and down ramps, constantly aware of possible hazards to patients, staff, and visitors. The Laundry Worker must utilize proper technique in distributing and picking up linen to prevent cross-contamination. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Processing, delivering, issuing, pickup, and storage of linen and employee uniforms. Fills linen carts with required amounts of linen in accordance with established quotas and adjusts quotas when appropriate.
