Large Animal Research Technician
Job Description
This role involves providing comprehensive care for laboratory animals before and after surgical procedures, including ongoing monitoring and data collection. You will support interventional studies in accordance with SOPs and study protocols while adhering to both GLP and non-GLP study guidelines.
Responsibilities

+ Dispense medications as prescribed by veterinarians and protocol specifications.

+ Perform and document routine clinical observations, chart physiological data, and monitor animal health status.

+ Administer start-up medications, monitor fasting of animals, and conduct pre-procedure animal weights and clinical observations.

+ Monitor animals during their critical recovery phase following surgery, perform TPRs, auscultate the heart and lungs, assess pain at incision sites, change wound dressings, and administer medications.
